Cara Taxi Pakistan is responsible for the collection and processing of personal information obtained through the Platform. We process personal data in accordance with the applicable laws of Pakistan, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA) and applicable data protection regulations issued by the Government of Pakistan.

• A clear selfie for identity verification

• Bank or Wallet information (bank account, Easypaisa or JazzCash) for payouts

3.3 Location Information

• Match Riders with nearby Drivers.

Background location (Driver app): If you use the Cara Taxi Driver app, we collect your device's precise location in the background — that is, even when the app is closed or not in use — while you are online and available to accept rides, or while you are on an active trip. This is required to match you with nearby ride requests, to show your live position to the Rider who booked you, and to provide accurate navigation and fare calculation. Background location collection stops when you go offline in the Driver app. The Rider app collects location only while the app is in use.

• Payment records processed securely through third-party payment providers licensed in Pakistan (such as card payment gateways, JazzCash and Easypaisa). We do not store your full card number or wallet credentials on our servers.

• Ride cancellations are recorded. Cancellation fees may apply in accordance with the cancellation policy displayed in the app.

• Accounts may be monitored to prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse of the Platform.
• Repeated policy violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable Pakistani law, you may have the right to:

11. Account Deletion

You can delete your Cara Taxi account and associated data at any time, in either of the following ways:

• In the app: open the Cara Taxi app → Menu → Profile → Delete Account, and confirm. Your account and personal data are removed from our systems.
• By request: visit our account deletion page at carataxi.pk/delete-account or email us at contact@carataxi.pk from your registered email, stating your registered mobile number. We will process the request and confirm within 30 days.

When your account is deleted, your profile image, email, phone number, uploaded documents, social logins, and booking history are permanently removed and irrecoverable. Certain limited records may continue to be retained where required by law, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, taxation, or regulatory compliance, and are deleted once those obligations expire.

12. Data Security

Cara Taxi implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your information, including encrypted communications, secure servers, authentication controls, and restricted access. However, no electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it from our servers immediately.

14. Third-Party Services

Our Platform may use third-party providers including payment processors, cloud hosting providers, mapping services (Google Maps Platform), communication providers (Firebase Cloud Messaging, SMS gateways), and analytics services. These providers process information only as necessary to provide their respective services, under their own privacy policies.

Cara Taxi may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any revised version will become effective upon publication on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
